From AbdulAzeez bin Abdillah bin Baz, to His Majesty, the Noble King Husayn bin Talaal, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Amman. May Allaah guide him to all that pleasures Him; may Allaah aid him with his religion. Aameen
The virtuous Shaykh Sa’d bin AbdirRahman al-Husayn, who is the Religious Attaché of Saudi Arabia in Amman, has informed me in his letter to me dated 01/05/1417 (Hijri), that your Majesty prevented a statue of yourself being raised in Amman. This pleased me a lot and I thank your Majesty for this action.
I therefore wanted to write to your Majesty in gratitude, and also in hope from your Majesty that you announce a decree for the pure Sharee’ah to be implemented in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in all its affairs; just as your forefather, the best of creation, Muhammad (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) ruled by it and also his rightly guided Caliphs as well as the Imaams of guidance who came after them.
This is in implementing the saying of Allaah (may He be Glorified):
{But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission} [04:65]
And His statement (the Exalted and Majestic):
{Then is it the judgement of [the time of] ignorance they desire? But who is better than Allah in judgement for a people who are certain [in faith]} [05:50]
{Whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the wrongdoers} [05:45]
{Whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the disobedient} [05:47]
It is not hidden from such a person as your Majesty that implementing the pure Sharee’ah will rectify the worldly affairs as well as the Hereafter, and it leads to eternal happiness.
I ask Allaah by his beautiful names and loft attributes that he expands your chest for this and helps you in implementing this (the Sharee’ah); He gives you righteous advisors, that He gives us refuge from the tribulations and calamities of misguidance, evil advisors and the plots of Shaytaan. Indeed He is Generous and Kind.
May the peace, mercy and blessings be upon you.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته، أما بعد
فلقد أبلغني صاحب الفضيلة الشيخ سعد بن عبد الرحمن الحصين الملحق الديني بسفارة المملكة العربية السعودية في عمان في كتابه المؤرخ في 5/1/1417 هـ أن جلالتكم قد منع إقامة تمثال لكم في عمان، فسرني ذلك كثيرا، وشكرت لجلالتكم هذا العمل
ورأيت الكتابة إلى جلالتكم في ذلك شاكراً وراجياً من جلالتكم إصدار الأمر الكريم بتحكيم الشريعة المطهرة في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية في جميع الشئون، كما حكم بها جدكم أفضل الخلق محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وحكم بها خلفاؤه الراشدون وأئمة الهدى بعدهم؛
عملا بقول الله سبحانه:
{فَلا وَرَبِّكَ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّى يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ لا يَجِدُوا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ حَرَجًا مِمَّا قَضَيْتَ وَيُسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا}
وقوله عز وجل
{أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حُكْمًا لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ}
{وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ}
{وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ}
ولا يخفى على مثل جلالتكم أن في تحكيم الشريعة المطهرة صلاح أمر الدنيا والآخرة والفوز بالسعادة الأبدية
فأسأل الله بأسمائه الحسنى وصفاته العلى أن يشرح صدركم لذلك ويعينكم عليه، وأن يصلح لكم البطانة، وأن يعيذنا من مضلات الفتن وبطانة السوء ونزغات الشيطان إنه جواد كريم. والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
