I would like to kindly share a point regarding the short dawah given immediately after the Maghrib prayer while many congregants are still performing their Sunnah prayers. While the benefit of the Dawah is clear, we are concerned about two points regarding the practice of the Salaf:
The Right of the Worshiper: Many brothers feel their concentration (Khushu) is affected when lessons begin loudly over the speakers while they are still in private conversation with Allah during their Sunnah. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Lo! Every one of you is privately conversing with his Lord, so do not disturb one another, and do not raise your voices over one another in recitation.” (Abu Dawood, 1332; Sahih).
The Timing of the Salaf: Sheikh Al-Albani and other scholars have noted that making a lecture a “fixed” daily ritual immediately following the Fard prayer can lead to Bid’ah Idhafiyyah (innovation in manner), as it creates a ritual the Prophet ﷺ did not perform consistently in that specific manner. The Sunnah is for the Imam to turn to the people, complete the prescribed Adhkar, and allow the people a window to perform their Sunnah prayers.
We suggest, in order to follow the Sunnah more perfectly, that the lesson be delayed by just 5 minutes or that the volume be kept low enough for only those sitting with you to hear, so as not to disturb those standing in prayer.

Sheikh Ibn Baz (Majmu’ Fatawa): He noted that while teaching is good, it should not be done in a way that causes hardship or disturbance to those praying or reciting Quran. The “rights of the person currently in prayer” take precedence over the voluntary lecture.
Sheikh Al-Albani (Al-Ajwibah al-Naafi’ah): He strictly cautioned against “systematic” additions to the prayer. He argued that if an Imam does a talk every day at the exact same time after the Salaam, it begins to resemble a religious requirement (Shari’ah) that wasn’t there, which is the definition of Bid’ah Idhafiyyah.
Lajnah ad-Daa’imah (The Permanent Committee): In several fatwas, they have stated that the basic principle in the Masjid is tranquility. If a religious talk is given, it should be done after the people have had sufficient time to finish their post-prayer voluntary units.

It is better for a teacher or imam to keep any post-salah reminders periodic, i.e. that a reminder is not given every day or after every Salah, rather it is done sometimes, and left off sometimes. In addition to this, a reminder is kept brief and short, so as not to prevent people praying their sunnah salah. In this way it does not become a bid’ah, nor does it burden the people. This is in line with the fatawa mentioned above.

If you attend a masjid where this is taking place, it is better for you to speak to the Imam of the masjid directly and privately.
