Question: After doctors confirmed that a pregnant woman’s fetus was dead, they informed her that an abortion was necessary. Is it permissible for her in this situation to adhere to the doctors’ orders, or does she put her trust in Allah and remain in this state?
Response: Remain in this state until when?! If the fetus is dead then it is not growing, and if it’s not growing then parturition will not take place. Therefore, if the doctors confirm that the fetus is dead, there is nothing wrong with aborting the fetus. In fact, the abortion is obligatory upon her if it is feared that not doing so will lead to illness.
إنزال الجنين الميت
السؤال: أحسن الله إليكم سماحة الشَّيخ ، يقول السَّائل: إنَّ امرأة حملت وأخبرها الأطباء أن الوفاة للجنين محققة في بطنها، وأنَّ ذلك قد تحقَّق طبيا ويجب عليها إنزال الحمل. فهل في هـٰذه الحالة يجوز لها أن تستمع إلى هـٰذا الأمر، أم أنَّها تتوكل على الله وتبقى على حالها؟
الجواب: تبقى على حالها إلى متى؟! لأنَّه إذا كان ميِّتا لا يحصل له نمو، وإذا لم يحصل له نمو لم يحصل وقت ظُهور، ولذلك إذا قال أهل الخبرة والمعرفة – الأطباء- : إنَّ الجنين ميِّتٌ فإنَّه لا حرج على هذا الإنزال؛ بل إذا خيف أن يتسبَّب لها ذلك بمرض وجب عليها إنزاله.
