Response: The legislated [interpretation of the] night begins from sunset (maghrib) until the time of fajr, this is the legislated [interpretation of the] night.
As for the calculated [interpretation of the] night, then according to them – the people of calculations, it is from sunset (maghrib) until sunrise, this is according to the people of calculations and the astronomers.
As for what the scholars of Sharee’ah and legislated rulings are upon, then the night [according to them] begins from sunset and ends at the time of fajr; Yes.
بداية الليل ونهايته عند أهل الشريعة وعند أهل الحساب والفلك

الجواب: الليل الشرعي يبدأ من غروب الشمس إلى طلوع الفجر ، هذا الليل الشرعي.
أما الليل الحسابي فعندهم يبدأ عند أهل الحساب من غروب الشمس إلى طلوع الشمس هذا عند أهل الحساب وأهل الفلك ، أما عند علماء الشرع والأحكام الشرعية فإن الليل يبدأ من غروب الشمس وينتهي بطلوع الفجر. نعم.
