Question: In case we combine ‘Ishaa with Maghrib because of rain, is it permissible for a person to pray shaf’ and witr [night prayer] after praying ‘Ishaa in the masjid or does he have to wait until the actual time of ‘Ishaa arrives and then he (can) pray his sunnahs and then shaf’ and witr? What is better? Give us a fatwa (Islamic Verdict), and may Allaah reward you with good.
Response: If you combine Maghrib with ‘Ishaa at the time of Maghrib due to a legitimate reason, then it is permissible to pray witr after that. However, delaying it until the last part of the night is better, if possible.

السؤال: في حالة جمع العشاء مع المغرب بسبب المطر هل يجوز أن يصلي الإنسان بعد صلاة العشاء الشفع والوتر في المسجد بعد انقضاء صلاة العشاء المجموعة أم يجب عليه أن ينتظر أن يحين وقت العشاء الفعلي ثم يصلي السنة ومن ثم الشفع والوتر ؟ وما هو الأفضل ؟ أفتونا مأجورين وجزاكم الله خيرا.
الجواب: إذا جمعت صلاة العشاء مع المغرب جمع تقديم من أجل عذر شرعي جاز الوتر بعدها ، وتأخيره إلى آخر الليل أفضل إن أمكن .
